Welcome

At Lismore we pride ourselves in being an all-ability, co-educational, 11-18 school serving generations of families for over 50 years. We are privileged to welcome the young people of Craigavon and the wider community to our brand-new state-of-the-art school.

As a Catholic school we place great emphasis on the Christian values of inclusion and mutual respect. Our Catholic ethos is evident in all policy and practice, and each day we live and celebrate our core values of respect, kindness, hope, commitment, and honesty.

We are highly recognised for our excellent pastoral care and are fully committed to the welfare of all students, celebrating their successes and helping them turn their dreams into reality.

We have the highest expectations and aspirations for every student. Our motto “Caring and Learning Together” is at the core of everything we do, and each child’s talents and skills are nurtured to ensure they achieve and succeed to the best of their ability.

We provide high quality teaching from our experienced teaching staff as well as outstanding support from our support staff. All staff go above and beyond to ensure the very best outcomes for everyone.  Our wide curriculum offer is flexible and ever changing to meet the needs of all learners.

Many opportunities are provided outside the classroom to allow students to develop. We value the student voice and our Leadership Teams have been introduced across all year groups, enhancing the leadership and volunteering opportunities available within our school community.

We are proud to offer an extensive extra-curricular programme which caters for all interest and talents.

We measure success in many ways – in our excellent internal and external examination outcomes, the number of pupils who continue to university or a Higher-Level Apprenticeship, further their studies in an occupational or vocational area or enter the world of employment. Success is also measured on the development of life skills and qualities that each student acquires during their time at Lismore College which will equip them for adulthood.

Our school continues to grow from strength to strength which is affirmed by our year 8 enrolment figures over the past number of years. We currently have the largest year 8 group in the history of the school and were over subscribed for the second year in a row. This is a true affirmation of the trust placed in our school from the families within the Craigavon area and beyond.

I hope you enjoyed reading through our website which will give you an insight and a flavour into life at Lismore College. On behalf of our Governors, Staff and Students I thank you for considering Lismore College as the school of choice for your child’s post-primary education.
