Hello, I'm Brídgína, and I am the Head Girl at Lismore College.

Hello, I’m Brídgína, and I am the Head Girl at Lismore College. In 2019, I became a pupil at Lismore College. I thought joining Lismore from a primary school with only 13 pupils in my class would have been a very difficult process, but I could not have been more wrong. The ethos and atmosphere of the school  allows for deep friendships to be made effortlessly among your new peers and teachers. I have been given so many opportunities during my time here, all thanks to the staff of this school, constantly encouraging me to strive for excellence.

Recently, with the help of my form tutor I have become a qualified level 1 ski instructor. In addition, through Lismore's girls Gaelic team I have grown in confidence, in no small way due to the influence of my coaches who have also motivated me to compete in cross country races.

In sixth form, I am studying biology, chemistry and mathematics and hope to study pharmacy or medicinal chemistry at University. The decision on what to study next year has been very challenging as my subject teachers have made me feel like nothing is too ambitious and anything is possible. I truly love my school and am so honoured that I have had the opportunity to represent it on so many different areas. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone considering Lismore College as the next step in their education will also feel the same.

I wish you well in your decision making and know that you too will be encouraged, nurtured and supported to be the best you can be.

Hello, I’m Tristian, and I am the Head Boy at Lismore College.

My name is Tristian, and I have been involved in the Lismore community for as long as I can remember from year 8 onwards. Lismore, at first, was big and daunting, with students much larger, smarter and seemingly more at home all around me.   I was slotted into a new form class, and I didn’t have very many of my friends in there with me.

However, it didn’t take long for me to get familiar and friendly with my fellow classmates.  Within just a few weeks, I didn’t know it at the time, I was making new friends that I would keep throughout my school life, as well as outside of school.  I was also building priceless relationships with so many of the staff at Lismore who have helped and supported me in every way imaginable throughout my years.

My passion for sport and music has led me to engage with so much that Lismore has to offer, these passions have also been nurtured and supported by my astonishing teachers.  I have constantly been supported and encouraged by the Lismore staff to aim for the very top of my potential.    Every one of my teachers has offered and taught me so much over the last seven years, for which I am forever grateful.

I have discovered new things about myself I would have previously thought unimaginable: from being musician of the year in my 4th year, to being Head Boy, as well as being captain of our Ulster title winning team in  year 12.  I am also current captain of the under 19 team.

Lismore College has enhanced my capabilities and strengths, as well as helping me face some of the challenges in other aspects of life.  The best experiences of my life have taken place at this school, from meeting current friends, to attending our 6th Form School Formal to winning an Ulster Schools GAA title.

I feel so proud and fortunate to represent a school I would consider my second home.  Whether you are part of a local primary school from the Craigavon area, or from a primary school further away, I fully recommend Lismore to anyone studying post primary and taking the next step in their life.  This is truly a welcoming place where you will find yourself.
